Happy end of August to everyone. It's been a tough month for some of you with weather conditions and health issues but you've all hung in there to the end and most of you are continuing on next month. I'll be there with you. This month has shown me that if I watch what I eat and exercise regularly I can take weight off fairly easily. Having everyone here to help with questions and encouragement is wonderful and I'm happy to be a part of this weight loss group. Thanks to all of you for your comments and support. I'll see you on the September thread.

I just realised that a lot of east coast people still don't have internet -- Ours was out all afternoon. Should the deadline for reporting be put off a few days??

Midnight Saturday seems like a good idea. Hope everyone has internet by then. What a strange weather year we have had. Hope there is no more excitement. I think we've had enough.
A very good point. Natural disaster should be a consideration...Let's extend the deadline until Saturday, midnight CST. If you are going to get internet it will be on by Sat...

Well ladies, I gained and lost so I am at my starting weight for August.
August has been an interesting month for me. I am glad to see it go. Depression has tried to keep me down.
I am in control and will lose.

I am very happy with myself this month. In June I lost 6 lbs but gained it back by the end of the month. In July it was 5 lbs. This month I lost 6 and did not gain it back. Woohoo! I feel like a winner even though I know it is not enough to win the skinny quarters. I did splurge today so I may have gained back a pound or so. I'll take care of that in September!
