Fun blocks MonaG

Well, I'm a little late to this party (too much vacationing this summer!!), but here are my first two blocks for the Waves group. I've been working on the Dunes blocks, so it was fun to look through all the other fabrics! These are both the same pattern but amazing how having the dark reversed totally changed the look.

Hope everyone is having a restful Sunday.

For our hostess, Janice. I am so excited to see this quilt, that sashing you have picked out is so fun. This quilt is going to just exude summertime!

And for MonaG. Again, I love the idea of the batiks and black. An idea I might have to borrow sometime!

The block you made for Mona, just gives me the image / sound of looking out a window on a rainy night listening to jazz.

Sewbizgirl, I had fun playing with this one. Paper pieced, "Sweet Sue Tops the Tree".

Oh, you’re kidding!! So much work... oI Love it! Thanks so much! That one is worth of being a small Christmas wall hanging.

Love all the other blocks too. Some great things have been happening here today!

Sewbiz, the quilting on your brown quilt is wonderful!!!

And I agree, the blocks everyone is posting are great. I'm glad I got to do some piecing this weekend. I've managed to misplace the name tag for this fabric ... another paper pieced block from my quilting a day calendar named "July Skies". Once I figure out who's it is, I'll clarify. I suspect it is Quiltermomma's..... Not sure. I'll post it now just cause I won't be posting again until next weekend.
