Sbg, love the gator block! A2P, great blocks. I agree the brown on WMU’s seems just right. Lstew, sorry to hear about your eye. I had the same thing happen decades ago in both eyes after being in a smoky restaurant wearing contacts and it was so bad I had both eyes patched for four days. That was the end of my contact experience. I’m glad your meds are working fast and well.

Have a good day, all.

SBG -- love my gator!!! I am also glad that your pup is doing better. My aunt has a feisty lab that managed to eat something in the yard that gave it seizures. She got her kids to pick it up to take it to the vet and they managed to save it and the dog is perfectly fine now. Hopefully, it won't eat whatever it ate before (frog? mushroom?.... 5 acre yard so hard to know).

LStew, I had to stop wearing contacts because my corneas would constantly get scratched. My eyes did not produce enough moisture. They still don't but at least I have found some single use drops loaded with 1% glycerin that make them feel perfectly fine.(Refresh Optive Advanced in the silver grey box.... getting harder to find in my stores). I hope your eyes heal quickly and the corneas never get scratched again!

I'm loving all these blocks. I better get some piecing time soon.

If you haven't watched the Fat Quarter Girls video yet, you need to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9afLnHacFRY

It will make you laugh outloud!

SBG what a cute little gator, very clever for thinking out of the box.

A2pieces your brown really highlights WMUT’s fabric, all the blocks are great. A scratched eye hurts like the dickens but hopefully you will feel much better quickly.

SuzyQ very fun blocks

Went to bed early last night and was awake at the crack of Dawn. It was a good time to fold and put away my fabric. Haven’t dug the sewing machine out of its case yet. The house has finally cooled down, it wasn’t unbearable but it wasn’t plesant.

Ibex’s fabric reminds me of coastal Louisiana….

The Fat Quarter Girls video was a hoot!

Both Marty and I continue to get better every day. Hope you all are well too.

Thinking of Hav4boys and her husband, and praying they both are moving forward in healing too. Let us know how you are, Hav.

Ibex, Fat Quarter Girls was hysterical. Struck the right chord on this dreary afternoon. Thanks for that post.

Just finished giving my little Janome travel mate it’s first decent workout. It stitches like a dream. So happy I got it. I need to know how everything works before the retreat. I don’t want to look like a newbie with the manual out trying to wind the bobbin or thread it! lol.

I haven’t heard from Hav since she posted about all her goings on a couple of weeks back. I, too, hope all is ok or better yet, improving.

Back to threading and rethreading the machine.

I made three blocks today, for Lstew, Cheese, and a modern one for me (the ugly block!). This leaves me only one left to finish before being totally done.

Three blocks for me today The Turkey block for LSTEW, the Christmas block for SEWBiz, and the flower block for All2Pieces.
This is Tula Pink’s modern city block 2. This is my favorite block to use when you send me fun or beautiful fabric I don’t want to cut into little pieces. A few hiccups on the first one I made but easy sailing after that. I think its fun to see the same block with different fabrics.

I love my block, MJP! Thank you so much. The other two are equally pretty.

Good morning, Roses. Looks like we’ll be getting a little rain which we need.

SBG and MJP, great blocks. I like seeing a block in multiple color ways. I’ll pull them shortly for the gallery.

Enjoy your day.
