Wow how cool is this. I have rocks that I have had for about 30 years that my husband brought home to me when he used to be an oil well driller. They came from about 4 thousand feet below the surface. I really love those rocks. I think what most of us really collect the most is great ideas and a type of friendship that no one else can really understand. You guys are wonderful.

Forgot that I collect thimbles. I can't get the hang of using one (except that little plastic thingie that sticks to your finger) but I love to collect them, especially the old kind with advertisments on them.

I have a rock that is as round as a baseball and just about the same size. It blew out of Mt. St. Helens and I picked it up along side the Cowlits river. Also have a jar of ash from the volcano.

goats & fairies. insofar as quilting items go, I really try not to collect. It's a bit unavoidable, of course; but I get anxious if I have too many things in the quilting world. Nonetheless, I have too much fabric (for Me), too many scissors (about 5 pair), too many rotary cutters (4), and Way too many never-made patterns. Don't know the number for the patterns - Don't want to know or I'll get nervous.
