Fresh off the machine
#1
I just finished the binding handwork tonight & had to share one of my favorite baby quilts ever
I bought 2 charm packs of Central Park by Kate Spain for Moda, I never splurge on fancy fabric but I think I could easily become a charm addict! It measures 36" square & I hand tied the center & machine quilted the borders. The topsy-turvy squares in the border are raw edge appliqued. The back is white & I found the purple tie dye binding fabric at walmart for like $2/yd or something crazy a few wks ago. I love making these, I can knock one out in 2 or 3 days. It's going to be hard to give this one away, lol.
Edit to answer ?'s--Oh, I guess I should share a little more info. Each square is a little pillow filled with polyfil stuffing. My grandma made one years ago all by hand, it took her 8 months. This is all machine assembled, I got the idea from an online tute on someone's blog (she's since removed it) but I changed the instructions some to suit my style. I would feel wrong sharing the method but I bet a quick google search for biscuit or puff quilt tutorial would land some results.
