A while back one of our great quilters posted a really nice poem she did for someone who was giving a quilt away. Did anyone bookmark it?

This is not the poem that you are looking for, but one I came across to be given with a child's quilt.

This quilt is made of cloth and thread
To place upon your little bed
It’s not an heirloom just to keep
But to lie upon as you count sheep
Or perhaps the floor’s the perfect place
For a doll and teddy bear picnic space.
This quilt can be anything you dream
From superman’s cape to the robe of a queen.
Pretend it’s a raft adrift at sea
Or just cuddle up when you watch TV
So use it up and wear it out
    I promise I won’t yell or pout
Just tell me when its days are through
And I’ll make another just for you.

You are right, not the one I was looking for, but what a neat one, noe the less. Thank you. Still hoping someone bookmarked the other or it's author sees this thread

It had something in it about there was no special occasion for the quilt

    Think this might be it!
It's not Christmas, nor is it your birthday. I was thinking of you as I do everyday. I found this fabric and without delay, Imade you this gift you can open today. Who needs a reason? I just want to say enjoy this gift on this un-holiday. I don't know who the author is! I wrote it out. Sorry couldn't seem to print it as poem! Sorry but hope this is the one you are looking for!
