All I can say is WOW. I cringed when I saw all that fabric going into the discard pile but when I heard the lady say that it was going to stay within the Quilts of Valor family I felt a lot better. Her garage was phenomenal when they got done. I would like one like that.

I started to drool when they showed all her fabric. That lady's livingroom was unbelievable. Did you catch that they didn't even go into the spare bedrooms? I wonder what they look like. Her garage was a thing of beauty when they finished. What a happy ending for all!

I got a call from a fellow quilter to watch. Now they will never be able to say I have too much fabric! That was unbelievable! The garage looked great after the clean out. I really love the space she has. I, too, am glad the surplus fabric and quilts were given to other Quilts of Valor chapters. Every one was a winner - the quilter, her family and the Army. Great job! Hmmm, now to come up with a shelving system for my room . . . .

I was wondering what they did about heating and cooling in the garage. They didn't close it up it still had the garage door. What about humidity or the temperature changes inside the garage.
and NO TV or radio to be seen.I need background noise while I quilt.lol

I watched to see if I could get them to my basement! I was glad to see that they did not just throw out the excess fabric. Did give me some ideas on organizing-----did notice that other rooms weren't shown---

I watched it just now. My dh recorded it. Ok I was impressed with the garage area and that wonderful shelving they did for her and the tubs. House was great too. She had it all over. Wow. I would not have been so nice to my dd if it were me. I would tell her to invite me over to their house then. She was so brave. Now that's a lot of fabric. Wonder why the friends who helped didn't get tot ake tubs home. Seriously???? At least mine is in one room/hall. Until I finish. Then one room. I am so proud for those who have wonderful sewing rooms, all the longarms, etc. But then again, I do just fine with what I have and use the money for fabric and not furniture. LOL. Just sayin'. Was wondering about the a/c heat, etc in that garage. LOL Telephone, computer, tv. YOu know???

And what about the problem that was mentioned about mice in the garage? It really did look great, but kinda wonder what things will be like in a few months?
