Am I imagining it or is Joann's now sending out 50% coupons more often? It seems I've found one in my email several times in the past few weeks.

Yep, I get a lot of them.... I cut them out and drive all the way over there, and then everything I want is already on sale so I can't use it.

If only I had a nickel for every coupon I cut out/printed out and didn't use!

the cosmic law of coupons is that they'll usually not be be good for the things we need right now.

strategy and timing are the key.

make a list of the things you know you will need vs. the things you need or want now. shop the sales for the "now" things, and use the coupon for the "sooner or later" things.

maybe you can also learn from wolves.

they hunt in packs.

quilters eventually need two high-priced items for every project: batting and backing fabric.

if the cost of a roll of batting is outside your budget even when half off, maybe you could purchase it jointly with a friend.

Yeah, I'm getting them more often too. I didn't know they had been sold though.

I remember reading about it but the name is escaping me. It's a holding company that owns some high end stores. Joann's seemed to be a step down for them.

I have gotten several with "$5.00 off regular item "coupon which means that item could be free. I think that business down due to economy and the time of the year so they are trying to bring in business. Who cares why just keep the coupons coming!

You may be right. I am getting wonderful coupons from alot of stores lately, that I normally only go into at Christmas. Bath and Body Works has even been sending coupons for free stuff! Like little mini lotions....love their stuff too!
