Just now getting pics of my 15-91 that the sweet lady on Craigs List gave me. I thought the foot pedal was broken but after Billy answering my post, it had just come off. On his instructions, I took apart the pedal, cleaned it inside and put the button back in place!!! YEAH!!

I've download the manual and just need to read it to get her all greased and oil. She sews great!!

I didn't get a case so right now she's just sitting on a board on a folding table (she is heavy and was putting a dent in the table with her "feet" LOL).

I also need to get a cover for the light. If anyone has one for sale, please let me know.

I didn't want to put her to work until I get her completely cleaned up but I enjoy just looking at her now. Still have to pick a name for her!

It looks exactly like mine! My decal is a brighter gold but otherwise they are identical.

I have used mine nearly every day for 15 yrs and I love it! I have a hard time adjusting to any other machine.

Does the bobbin winder on yours work? Mine quit along time ago.

I have seen lots of post about people going gaga over these much older machines. Excuse my ignorance but why? Is this just a collector thing or is there something special about these machines that I am missing?

Put 'why vintage machines' in the search box. This has been discussed often. The only problem is that they are addicting - I now have six machines - five of them vintage. Some people have way more, but I'm out of space. I'll leave some for the rest of the world.

To some people they are only collector items and others they hold special memories.

But sewing on them is different. The feel,the hum of the motor, and the stitching itself, especially the ones before zig-zag were made. They have a perfect straight stitch, and no plastic parts.

I have 11 machines, from treadles to my newest a Janome 6600P, but when I sit at my Singer 66 and sew it seems magical. I love it best of all next to my Featherweight!
