Hancock Fabrics has their batiks 1/2 off through Wednesday, May 18th! I never see batiks on sale but I walked into Hancocks and there was the sign! I purchased 16 yards for only $4.99 a yard...high quality batiks! Yeah! I'm buying fabric or rather batiks for my "Rose of Sharon" quilt using Sharon Pederson's book so I was very excited to find this fabric!

Just a suggestion--I'd prewash ANY batik fabric before using it--there is lots of extra dye in them that for sure will bleed and may ruin your project--especially the darker colors, but in my experience all the colors run and bleed to a certain extent. Unless, of course, you're making something that for sure will never need to be washed.
