for the last 8 months i have worked so hard on 2 quilts, one was commissioned the other I just did bothe loved the first I said I'll write you a check, yes I wanted it for my daughter several times threw the process, the second I loved but never offered the check statement. today I finally finished the second quilt, both kaleidoscopes that i have posted the photos of previously, It was truly a sad moment, I really had a hard time letting go of this beautiful wraped quilt it went to friends that I care about who will love it just as much but for the first time, it really effected me! to the point of tears as I walked out the door.
over sensitive? maybe just tired from daily life, but what ever it was I had never felt this before. I"ll post the photos once more for those of you who have not seen. these blocks were purchased on ebay , but still such a labor of love went into them, my daughter recieved the blue and yellow and my friend who will give the purple one to tonight as a gift to his lovely wife.
Thank you for your thoughts for your comments Thank you in general I admire your work and your postings good or sad.. my prayers are with you threw it all as needed even though I don't post often back
Sandra

the first I kept offering to write the check for

Sandra, your work is beautifully done. I understand your heartbreak about what happened. So many of us have been in your shoes. My heart goes out to you.

You do really beautiful work! I can see how you would have trouble letting them go! Is there something else going on in your life that is getting you down, that you had so much trouble letting go this time? Have you ever made one for yourself? Maybe it is time to do that (or do it again). Take care of yourself, and I hope you feel better soon! I have a plaque that says, 'When all else fails, hug the cat.' Or, in this case, the beautiful quilt inspector. The QI is very pretty. You take good care of him/her.

They're both beautiful quilts, sounds like they'll be loved. Now you need to make one for yourself.

Sometimes the pattern and the fabric come together and make magic. It's hard to let go of magic because you probably think it won't happen again. In your case, magic has happened twice with two quilts, so I bet there is another beauty in your future!
