Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock Canyon, near Grand Canyon, near Hoover Dam, Mt Charleston (for skiers and hiking).

Thomas Wolfe (Look Homeward, Angel). Moog (as in synthesizer). The mountains. A downtown that still exists and thrives. The North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement. And a bumper sticker saying "Asheville: where weird is normal" and who could forget the Biltmore Estate. And Tony Bourdain (No Reservations) will be here next Saturday.

Home to Mayo Clinic and IBM and we have thousands of geese in the winter. Most vistors like to go to Silver Lake Park to see them. I think they are big pests, they poop all over can't take little kids to the park anymore because of the poop. Even have an artist who makes paintings from the goose poop.
