There are so many gorgeous quilts on this topic, fascinating seeing what we all actually sleep under. Since I finished my first quilt (which took me nearly two years) we have had it on our bed almost permanently. Since returning to live in the U.K. where it gets very cold in the winter I use it as a throw on top of the duvet for added warmth :lol:

I love the snowflakes. Is this a fabric pattern or are they applique? So gorgeous, I would love to make one.

Oh bless, I learnt such a lot while making this quilt, no pattern, just started making blocks by English Paper piecing, then onto machine piecing, paper piecing, applique, you name it I did it on this quilt LOL

Usually it's my avatar, too, and the covers are such that an occasional hair ball won't send anyone into a tizzy. I have made a little quilt for the kitties, but they shun it. If I'm working on one they like to sit on it, but that's different, of course.

A sheet right now. Even with A.C. I'm still too warm, but during the day I will put a quilt my friend made for me.
