Can anyone tell me what the difference between edge to edge quilting and a pantograph is? I know a pantograph is a pattern you follow but what is edge is edge quilting? Like stippling? Thanks for all your input and knowlege.

You follow a pantograph pattern edge to edge across the quilt.
One and the same. At least in my lexicon.

I agree with MST, edge to edge pantograph
although free motion can be edge to edge also.

You can also use pantographs for just certain parts of a quilt, i.e. a block design, sashing, or border designs, but not from the edge to edge.

panto is following a design on paper with a laser or stylist its a technique for edge to edge, block designs, etc.

edge to edge is quilting where the design goes from one edge to the other.

you can do edge to edge with a panto, you can mark the quilt using a stencil pattern that is designed for edge to edge, or you can do it free hand.
