Our mother, I have 3 sisters, passed away almost 10 years ago. One of my sisters had saved a dress that our Mother loved. She asked if I could make something out of it for each one of us. I said “sure I will try.” I really liked the pictures posted for the Bow Tuck purses and decided to see if I could squeeze out 4 purses. I dismantled the dress and was able to get enough to make the purses. The dress had beading on the sleeves and on the yoke. I used these pieces for the pockets. Each sister picked out the contrast trim she wanted. The beads on the purse are from a necklace that I had of my Mothers. I even had enough scraps to make a tiny bag for my youngest granddaughter who is named after my Mother. Inside each bag I machine embroidered our Mother’s name and birth date and passing date. I will be presenting to my sisters when we have our reunion in October. I have attached a picture of the dress and the bags.
Thanks for looking.

This is absolutely amazing. I'm sure the purses will be treasured forever. :)
