I cut the water for my boat quilt too short. I got lazy and thought it might be ok. Now that I have finished it, I don't like the gap. Is there anything that I can do other than starting all over or just living with it. It is hand quilted except for the borders.

It doesn't look like you've quilted that red border down yet, why not take off the red border and move it in a bit? That's what I would do. JMHO
    It's very cute though!

I think I would add maybe some fish applique on the water and one to be on the gap.....just a thought.

Applique a fish or a turtle or some kind of aquatic critter!

Can you not cut a piece to fit and hand stitch it in, sorta like an applique? Just big enough to fill it in..... Think it would work. you might even cut a small piece of "Steam a Seam Light" to make sure you keep placement accurate while you stitch.

    That's what I'd try, too.

This sounds like a good solution.

If it bothers you I would move the border! Adorable quilt.
