I think that some of the fabrics will read more solid from a distance so it won't seem as busy as you might think. And a solid sashing will probably bring down the "busy" factor even more.

PS When it done, stand back, look at it and imagine someone else made it!. I'll bet you'll like it

I think you may want more contrast between L/dark fabrics for the pattern to show up..JMO..

I don't think so . . . there is a range of values and I think the lightness of the pink will give the quilt a little sparkle.

I think I'd play with the placement of your fabrics...vary it from square to square until you've tried several different configurations and see if there's one you like best. Or you can just go for totally scrappy and have as many possibilities as you can come up with.

I would take out the pink with white daisies --- it isn't the contrast that bothers me -- it's that the fabric doesn't FLOW with the others. I'm also an advocate of having at least 1 plain or near plain fabric on quilts......it gives your eye something to "rest" on.

If one fabric is jumping out, give it some company. Add more fabrics of the same color family. Just decide if it will be a sparkle color (smaller percentage) or one of the main colors in the quilt.
