do you take a nap. I know this is a problem for women but is it just menopausal women or women of all ages?

I'm 47 and premenopausal...I think.
I have never been able to sleep all night. This morning I felt so refreshed because I slept in til 6:15! lol

My sleep patterns are all out and I usually go to bed in the early hours of the morning and then sleep late. Once I'm asleep nothing wakes me though.

I always sleep the whole night through. Of course, I'm 33 and don't have children yet. I'm trying to enjoy this for as long as it lasts...

If I get 7-8 hours of sleep at night, I usually don't need to nap.

I don't sleep all night, at the least I wake and have a sip of water I now keep next to my bed. I usually wake at least twice a night, often need to go to the bathroom. If I am lucky I may get 4 to 6 hours once in a blue moon. Usually I wake every 2 hours, don't remember when I didn't, most likely before my 2nd and 3rd sons; over 30 years ago.
Napping? if it is early enough I may try to take 20 minutes, if it is to late then I am up either all night or wake like 2 or 3am; so I try not to nap.

I vary, right now I've been sleeping from 1am to 6am. If I drink too much coffee it is 4am to 9am.

I'm 45 and I think hormones have a large part to play in my terrible sleep patterns lately. I have no trouble getting to sleep no matter what time I go to bed but then I often wake at around 2 am and toss and turn for hours before nodding off again usually around 4-30 or 5 am. I would get up and sew but I feel so tired I think I would just make silly mistakes and get even more frustrated :(

What is sleep? I fall asleep very quickly, but just can't stay asleep. Usually wake up about three hours after closing my eyes and then I catnap the rest of the night. Been doing this for years. Guess it's a habit now.
