I was very unsure about the color choices for this quilt, but it seems to look pretty good as I fill in the blanks. What do you all think? I will have to place a circle in the center to applique on and I've chosen the black with gold fleck for it then a tan on top, then applique on the tan. I will also applique for the four corners, then add the pieced borders. It says it will be 64" square by the time I'm done.

So far this is all paper pieced and quite a new experience with the circles in the middle, but I'm hopeful I'll be able to accomplish it.

I hope you all like it so far and I'll keep posting my progress if you all want to see it. :-D :-D

Sew pretty! I picked up the Bella Bella book too and I'm working up the nerve to paper piece a section to see if I like the process. With the paper pieced sections it doesn't look too difficult or am I just delusional?

If it turns out as beautiful as your avatar you have a sure winner. Beautiful colors.

Great color choices. I share your pain at picking fabrics that work together.
