Here are a few Mug Buckets I've been putting together. I call them "Mug Buckets" because the design is just like the larger Bucket Buddies that are used for tools, only these are for pencils, markers, scissors, etc. I think they'll make great gifts for teachers or coworkers.

They take about an hour to make each one and seemed like a great use for scrapy stash!

Here's the pattern I used. It's out of print but seems to be avaialble on ebay, amazon, etc.

Those are very cute, and a good way to use up excess mugs. But all I can think of is, someone has entirely too much time on their hands if they are making mug buckets. I can't seem to find enough time to finish the quilts I have started.

LOL! I get up EARLY and work on stuff like this before I have to leave for work (like 4 am) while I'm having my coffee. I save my quilt projects for when I'm a little more alert. Although I must admit, I've been working on FMQing a queen-sized quilt for a Christmas present a couple hours at time early in the mornings lately.
