Newchapter, thanks so much for giving me ideas using the buttons, which I have hoarded for many years. I have made a cloth bag for shopping out of some extra blocks and am sure the buttons cab be used in a way. Thanks    radha

I was LUCKY enough several years ago to have a gallon size jar of buttons given to me. Talk about dumpster diving, only this was into a jar of buttons. I had a friend stop by and that jar reminded her of the times when she was little and going through her mothers jar. I sorted them out and put them into baby food jars. Boy, the assortment I found. I gave several jars of the regular assortment to the nursing home for mending.

I find it so interesting that so many of us spent hours as children playing in our mothers' and grandmothers' button containers. I wonder if a child of today's tech and tv culture would find that in any way entertaining like we did.

i have vintage buttons for sale. over 1.5 pounds of vintage buttons for $15.00 plus postage. i believe the less expensive postage would be a flat rate envelope. the buttons include metal buttons, plastic buttons, mop buttons, three sets of carded buttons, a few buckles, a bag of "new" metal buttons and some that were obviously cut from clothing. these buttons are from one or more estate sales. i h ope i am in the correct spot to post this. if interested please pm me.
