Pet Peeve on TV

or how the portrayed law enforcement agents are dumb or bumbling with one notable exception? Or how they can devote hours and hours of time to one case? or how the DNA results are immediately returned? or how the commercials get really loud? Or how the female officers, such as on CSI all wear and can run in heels? over uneven ground? yeah, right. Or how they find the exact one hair that leads to successful resolution of the case?
OK, Laurie, back off.... I could go on!

I hate to tell you this, but some idiot companies insist on their staff wearing long sleeve lab coats when they work. I used to park mine in the closet, and got chewed out quite a few times for not having it on, lol. I told them to jack up the a.c., and I would wear it. Of course, as soon as it left, back in the closet it went, lol.

We now get ME-TV here, over the air. Shows like Gunsmoke, Beverly Hillbillies, Cannon, Mash, I love Lucy....old ones, funny ones, ones where the good guys won and the bad guys lose. It's on 90% of the time now, instead of the other stations. I don't even want my dogs hearing that nonsense.

I volunteer with our police department and these female characters would never meet the dress codes. And a lot of the men wouldn't either!
But any show that depicts most professions are produced for the drama and the ratings! I remember watching Boston Public and wondering when those teachers ever found time to teach and do lesson plans, grade tests, etc.

The world we live in now isn't good for our children. I remember when I was little didn't even have a TV and when we did finally get one sure didn't hear any of that uncalled for talk or let alone see someone in bed of in their underwear or their boobs. Oh how I wish for the good old days!

I'm glad that I'm not alone in being disgusted with television and the commercials.

My husband is hooked on all these shows and I just leave the room and find something else to do.
Most of the ladys in the real world aren,t that thin or good looking who do this type of work. It is nothing more that a new soap opera but with more violance. The men and women on these shows are way too clean when their done at a crime sean.
And most of them are way too young to have the knowledge or experance they pertray.Just my own observation. LOL
Glad im not the only one who see,s this. Ya I could go on too.

And don't you like the shows where the 5year old is so much smarter than the parents. And snotty mouthed and disrespectful. My Mom would have skinned us if we had acted that way to any adult but if we had treated our Dad with disrespect, wouldn't be writing anything now. What horrible attitudes they are teaching our children.
