I prefer the first one because the dark color pops against the floral. Also, the second is 'too close' to the outline patterns of the floral, if you know what I mean. You already have that in the darker pink on the right of the green fusion fabric. The dark specks are 'similar' to the tiny blossoms in the fabric, so that goes very well. That is my method on how I choose fabrics that go together, along with choosing colors around the main fabric, which you are doing also. May not always be popular way to do it, but that is what I do and it works for me. What is the name of the floral fabric? Love it!

EEEKKKK!!! This is hard! Both choices look great for their own reasons. Both look good (to me ) with the rose but the first is somehow a bit better. However, the second is more balanced with the depth of color to the green. Can't really make a decision here

I think the answer might be to copy all your choices on the printer in black and white. You will then see which one will be predominant and stand out best.
You could go a step further and cut out 1" blocks of each color and just place them on the printer and print out in color, that might also help to really see it.
If you have Electric Quilt that would be another way to scan your fabrics in and then you'll easily see your color choices too.
