Clip, I'm still looking for an actual pattern but here's a tutorial for a "shadow" quilt, basically the quilt you like is just one more row on the block and sashing I think between the rows. All the blocks are made the same but positioned differently.

These are so beautiful. The colors, prints and patterns are all stunning. And the quilting is perfect for these quilts! I am sure his son will be beyond happy with his quilt.

These are so beautiful! Does the first one have a style name or did you make that one up? Black is so dramatic but I'm afraid to buy a fabric that will fade quickly...did you use a Moda black? You inspire me to use my beautiful fabric and get back to quilting. God bless you!
