You go, girl! We all started about the same spot and it does take time to get it just right. Nice to see the joy they bring. He does not care that it is not fancy...all he sees is his in patterns he likes and the love you put into it.

Look at that happy face, he thinks you are something special about now. Bet his birth mom does not quilt either.
He will enjoy this for years to come and maybe it will be passed on down to his son at some point. Your start was great keep going and then look back on this one a year from now, you will still love it by find things are coming easier now.

Yep, his face says it all...what more can you ask for! None of mine are perfect either, but they are well loved, and that is all I can ever hope for. Great Job!

My first quilt was a nine patch. It took me forever. Each block was different fabric so I couldn't do strip stitching. I was so proud of that quilt. It took me so long to finish it. I think your "first" quilt will be one that you will be proud of forever. I love that you used all little boy fabrics for your stepson. He must think you are something special! You are a great step mom
