Default Need ideas

I am looking for pattern ideas for my daughter's and son-in-law's quilt. I have over 100 signature blocks and the quilt will be approxiamately a queen size.

What size are the signature blocks you have? Would something like this work for them?

You could adapt the pattern burchquilts suggested, just use your blocks for the centers of the stars and adjust the size of your flying geese and corner squares to fit. Use colors they like or used in their wedding for the star points and sashing and use the muslin used for the signatures in place of the white in the star blocks. Or you could do a snowball pattern if the signatures won't get cut into too badly.

One time I used signature squares for the window in a schoolhouse block. Another time, I used the signatures as the window in an Attic Windows block. Both worked nicely (at least IMHO as well as the recipients' opinions).

I made a signature quilt for my daughter when she graduated college. I used her mascot for a center and went from there. I also incorporated some applique in her quilt which didn't show up well in the picture, but I tried to make it fun.

Kathleen, did you miter the corners of the blues strips in your quilt? Like the way you added the trim.
