Default How much fun is this!!!!

I got my singer 99 hand crank up and running tonight. I had never sewed with using a handcrank before and just think it is the most fun! Have any of you done a whole project with one? Tell me about it!

I love my handcrank!! I don't think I've done anything start to finish, but have used it often!
Muv uses handcranks lots!

I'm so glad you're having fun!

I have a HC, but I really prefer treadling over a HC. So, I don't use my HC. If you do a project with your HC, post photos, would love to see the project!

My dear husband picked up a 99 at a friend's garage sale. Poor little thing was stored in a barn for years and certainly looked it when he brought it home. It was an electric but of course parts were missing and the wiring was a mess so I converted it to a HC. It is my very favorite. Still needs a lot of cosmetic touchups but can that baby sew! Hope you enjoy your beauty!

I took mine to school when I was teaching enrichment at the end of the school year. My co-teacher's 8 year-old daughter used it to make a pillow. It was so smooth. I love the look of it...just a pleasing design and sews a great stitch.

I love treadling. I don't know that I am coordinated enough to hand crank and feed my pieces through straight! LOL

I learned on one. Ran over my finger when I was a little kid. I'm a firm believer in finger guards for HC machines. I have recently put together a HC and love it. I found I was able to do most anything on it. I even mended a tent. I made a little hat and flat felled the seam one handed. I creased it good first but I would do that anyway.
