Smile Comic Boards

I have been reading, with great interest, all the ideas on getting our studios organized. After seeing all the rooms organized with comic boards (I think that is what they are called), I have decided I should use them to finish up my organization. My question is: What size boards do you find most convenient. I did not realize they came in different sizes until I looked for them on the internet. Looking forward to your responses so that I can continue to get organized.

I bought the BCW "Magazine Boards." They're 8-1/2 x 11.

The boards I got are just a little smaller, but still work OK. When the fabric is folded in fourths lengthwise and then wrapped, just a little hangs over one end but it still sits on a shelf or in a stack just fine. If I had a choice locally, I would have gone with the bigger ones too.

Mine are 8.5 x 11 also. I cut some in half, and those are for any piece less than a yard. If my piece is more than two yards, I use two boards for extra strength. It's working beautifully.

Where in the UP? I'm between Munising & Manistique.
My boards are book 11 1/2"x7 1/2" and 4x6 1/2"

It really depends on where you'll be storing them. I purchased mine based on the size of my shelves. They can also be easily cut down.

It depends on how you want to fold your fabric. I find 11 inches high to be good height for 44 inch wide fabric. I take the folded yardage and fold the 22 inches again and that makes it about 11 inch and just right to wind onto the boards.

I've got up to 5 yds on some of mine~the fabric makes it strong.

81/2 x 11 is best for me, I bought some of the smaller sizes and didn't like them as much.
