It is an Eleanor Burns pattern that was used according to the maker.

yes...I have been to the tutorial....i know how to make it..i don't know how many different colors or the correct layout to get the same design. tried using the picture but can't determine colors. I may be able to figure out placement, but directions would be much easier.

thanks

Looks like there are15 fabrics, white to black (but even if it's one more or less, it really won't matter much in the layout - you'd just have one less or one more round of fabrics - the design would still be symmetrical).

This is a guesstimate of the layout (back of the envelope):

The bargello with the black cross in the middle starts with fabric 14 (cross) then goes 2-15 (vertically) but only 14 (horizontally).
The bargello on the other side of 15 starts with fabric 1 thru 7 until it hits that black strip border.
Those strips look like there were placed to fit the bed, but you could continue the bargello pattern if you wanted.

The rectangles are 2x as long as the width (so 2"x4" or 3"x6", etc).

Easy enough to draw on graph paper.

eta: The key is a really good gradiation of fabrics (whether it's color, value or pattern density).
Josie did a fabulous job with her B&W selection.
And that's actually why it's so hard to see the different fabrics.
