Have to add this note. Both my doctor and my son make it a practice to ask those of us who are older if we have scatter rugs around the house. One of the biggest problems for the older generation is falling. I would guest spraying a rubberized backing on the mats or putting some of that perforated plastic under it that we use on the cabinet shelves so no one slips when they use the mat. It's a great idea and I need to make one myself but had to send along this caution.

Very clever idea. I wondered at first if it would be slippery but with the bath towel for the back I understand why it works. Great idea.

Such a super idea and really cute & useful project! I was contemplating this weekend making a shower curtain for the guest bath - and how cute would it be to have a matching mat... Thank You!
