I agree with quilt E , finishing out the chains on white would frame it out so nicely. Then If you wanted, perhaps a nice but fairly narrow, band of whichever is your favorite color from the quilt.

OMG, this is so stunning. I am very new to QB. Where is this pattern? I have to make one! Simply beautiful. I agree with the others that a white boarder, keeping it clean and simple would be lovely. Again, where is this pattern???

I vote for a white border 1/3 the size of the block. If you wanted to make your colors pop beyond that, then a binding of all the fabrics together. If I did do that binding, I might make the border 1/2 the size of the block. The rule of thumb is that your border width should be able to be divided evenly into your block size.

Okay I had laundry to do, bathrooms to clean, and groceries to shop for, so I drew this up instead. It was way more fun! Dunster's version and this one are my two favorites.

You don't need a pattern, the quilt is simply made of two alternating traditional blocks, the double 9-patch block and the shoo fly block.

The difficulty lies in the amount of patience it takes to piece so many tiny blocks! Kudos to the O.P. for her beautiful creation!
