Default upholstery fabric samples

I went to a yard sale yesterday and a lady gave me stacks of upholstery samples. A lot of them are just beautiful, but I'm not sure what to do with them.I was thinking of a crazy quilt. Any other Ideas as to what to do with them? Thanks Jean

If they are heavier weights, they make great totes or purses (patchwork of course).

I have used them for very durable totes and also throw pillows.

The really plush ones I use for backings on small items like what I put on my coffee table and such.

I've also used them for totes and loved that idea. Throw pillows is another great idea; thanks OCquilter.

Just love it]

I have made purses, used some in scrappy quilts and the next adventure is to use some in a Cathedral Windows quilt.

I made a regular quilt out of some. I cut the pieces into blocks 10x12 and sewed them together with saching in between.
Then I backed with fleece, and put 2 layers of poly batting. Hand tied every 4 in". This is a heavier quilt, and my upholstery fabrics were not too heavy... more like ticking fabrics. I love this quilt. In fact JoAnn Fabrics has most of their special order samples on clearance now, as they are not selling most of those fabrics anymore. I'll try to put up a picture later. Kathy
