Congratulations on all of your wins. I love those mittens and your tree quilt also. We just had a family reunion on the 10th and my daughter made a tree with construction paper and put it on a poster board that was clipped together with the pronged clips. It was just over 6 ft tall. She then cut leaves from colored construction paper and on each of the limbs of the tree she put my parent's children's names then each person who came in was instructed to take a leaf and write their names and place it on whatever family limb they belonged to. Now one of my sisters wants me to make one of this years in a quilt and raffle it off next reunion in 2014 and make one for 2014 but make the leaves out of fabric and then they will be appliqued to the limbs. So if you could share any tips on how you made your tree or any pattern directions, I would love it. I can post a picture of my tree done in the construction and poster board. There were 12 of us children so we had a lot of limbs and a whole lot of leaves. Can you tell me what size you made your quilt. Thanks so much for sharing your "family tree" with us.
