    Red face New Longarm machine

Well knock me silly, but at 78 yrs. young I think I have time to learn to use it, so I bought myself a new JUKI 2200 quilting machine. Now where to put it???? out goes the living room couch, that's the only room that I have
to put it in(that it will fit in). Can hardly wait for it's delivery and set up. traded my Babylock Tiara quilting machine in on it.
I know this one is going to require some classes, usually I just dive in and learn on my own.

Hope you have many years of happy quilting, I have been looking at that machine myself, but funny I just ordered baby lock Tiara. What was your take on the Tiara? And keep us updated on the Juki.

Congratulations! Love your mindset. Have fun with your new toy. Just a matter of knowing where all the bells and whistles are. Like buying a new car and learning how to operate it.

Good for you. Just goes to show, you are never too old to take on a new challenge (health being okay). Hope all goes well with the learning curve. Keep us informed.

Congratulations on your new toy. Not familiar with the Juki LA. How deep is the throat? Is it a sit down model or on a rack? How big a rack did you get?

I would definitely take a few lessons on it. At least so you know how to load a quilt if it is on a rack, adjust tensions, troubleshoot problems etc. You will have a blast!

I am very, very happy with mine. It has an 18" throat and comes with a Grace frame (you standup). I've never long-armed before, and once you figure out how to setup, it doesn't take long. It then takes some practice to many pretty! Hope you enjoy yours!
There is a Yahoo group for the 2200. You may with to join.

Good for you! I am debating about re-arranging my living room - okay just emptying it. Make it into my sewing room. Who needs that room that just looks pretty, no one uses it. But then again, it is my antique showplace. What does a girl do? Have fun and will look forward to seeing your work.
