Default Surreal... And a little creepy

I was just scrolling through quilts on Pinterest and happened on my own quilt that I posted here on QB. Found a second further down the page. Just weird when you're zipping through quilts and suddenly one looks really familiar.

Yes internet is really public. People don't know that every word or pic on google is for the world to see.

I don't Pinterest, so what I can't see won't bother me.

I don't do Pinterest, but from what I know about it, I'd take it as a compliment that my quilt was pinned.

I actually like pinterest better than bookmarking as it is easier to find your inspiration and projects you are looking to start. I don't even bookmark anymore on websites because pinterest makes it super easy to access everything you need. once you start you can't stop. right now I just haven't separated by inspiration from actual things I want to try, and sometimes I just like the way people put colors together so I pin just for the actual color for another quilt and not the actual quilt thats on display, but do take it as a compliment that people like your work. I would if I ever saw something of mine pinned.

I don't do pinterest either but have had a friend tell me that pictures of my quilts have shown up on there... they thought it was fantastic.... I'm still such a skeptic...... but I do understand once it's out there... it's out there.... just reading the new privacy changes to Facebook and not thrilled!

All of the above are reasons I started using it. It's an easy, free way to keep a file cabinet of ideas.

Also ... Pinterest has now added "locked" (private) folders that you can use.

I think 90% of my Pinterest pins (inspiration folders) come from here.

It's a nice compliment. Someone found your work inspiring and wanted to remember where they saw it.

People have been doing essentially the same thing for years and years, but you didn't have any way of knowing about the photos someone copied and put in a file on their computer or printed out and put in a notebook.

I've just started using pinterest and I feel it's a way to save ideas that you might want to do in the future. Great idea in my opinion.

Gad ZOOKS!!!

I have 40 Boards. 8,558 Pins (at the moment).

Nineteen of the boards are directly or indirectly related to Quilts/Quilting.

I guess you could say I love Pinterest .......
