I just did your measurements 2" (yellow), 1.5" (green), and 2" (neutral). Worked out perfect! Match my original units perfectly. Using 1 5/8" for all three strips didn't match up my original green strip which measures one inch. Good job Emma! Hug! Debbie

Here's what I have done for clue #1. Still have quite a pile to sew. Wish I could sit here all day working on that!! But, I think I'll follow her advice and move on to clue #2 - if I have time to quilt at all. Wish I was caught up but after reading what some of you are running in to I think I need to cut and sew just a few blocks to make sure I'm measuring up ok. I may try Emma's method anyway, if my fabric is long enough (I'm working from stash, only).

Oh CindyA, your fabric choices are lovely! Soft yet stunning.

I finished sewing and pressing Clue 2 last night, but it's unfortunately obvious that I'll need to square up all those little blocks. I really wish I'd seen Emma's idea before I started. It seems like it would be sooo much more accurate and easy.

Groan....after 3 days I have only 52 chevrons done. Between the dyslexic and getting too many angled the same way when chain piecing and having to mark all of those squares, it is taking me forever. I do like the results and hope that today goes better. I'm getting more comfortable with the flip and sew.

Cindy, I used some smaller lengths just by sewing them to longer strips of the two other colors. Surprising little waste bridging the gap when you cut the two inch widths. Love your colors!
Debbie: Thank you so much for the reassurance! You know how it is, you try to be careful but.......

The last 30 chevrons only need to be pressed and checked for square. I have two days to work on a 4 patch border for the quilt that is in my design wall. I know that Bonnie will soon have us sewing units together and I want to be able to use the design wall to see what it looks like.

Congrats, Gardnergal! I have all of clue 1 and only half of clue 2 done. Am really having fun. I went with Bonnie's colors (all from stash). Its so grey outside, its fun to play with the bright colors.

Emma S I love that Bonnie is so bold with color and your's will be great too.
Finished up the last 6 blocks for clue 2...my brain is tired after doing 100 of them LOL
Here are mine all lined up on the cutting board. I know there are several that are quite "off" and I might just do a few extra just in case!

Cathie, yummy colors! Congrats on the finish. Good idea about the extras, think I will do the same. I'm doing the king size so although I have over a hundred done, that still makes me only halfway done with only two days left until the next clue.

I'm doing this by hand but moving right along. Have half of clue 1 and 2 done. Working mostly in the evening...while I watch programs or movies with my hubby. Printing out and cutting pieces with Inklingo makes this incredibly easy.
