Default My recovery quilt

I stitched up this pinwheel quilt to use up some scrap materials, then had to search for a border fabric that would go with it. Found these fun little birds in all the colors. Love how it looks.
I'm calling this my recovery quilt because I recently found out I have breast cancer and will be having surgery on Monday, 11/4. My dear friend, Fran W, quilted if for me. I just have to hand stitch the binding to the backing and it will be all done. Had enough extra fabric I even made a pillowcase to match.

What a happy little quilt. I love your colors. Good luck with your surgery, and I hope for fast healing so you can make another pretty quilt.

I'm sorry to hear you have to go through this--but you will get through and out the other side. I wish you an uneventful and swift recovery. That is a lovely, cheerful quilt--for some reason, pinwheels always make me smile.

Your recovery quilt is bright and happy! I like the birds too! I'm sending out a prayer that your surgery goes as well as possible. "I love boobies." Have you seen the bracelets with this saying? It's about breast cancer. Good luck dear alleyoop.
