Black Friday at JoAnn's What did you get ?
Did anyone else go to JoAnn's Black Friday sale? I was there 15 minutes before the doors opened and got myself some goodies, an Ott light ( I now have three of them ,one for each machine ) quilting thread, ribbon spool holder ( the one Christmas present that I bought from there) rotary cutter, scissors, Clover ceramic pencil & a measuring tape because I can never find mine. flannel fabric by the bolt sold fast. There was no fighting or grabbing everyone was really nice. Think that I'll skip Wal - Mart from now on.

I went about 10:30 and it was busy but not in a bad way. I only got a few things - three 2-yard pieces of flannel (DD wants nursing cover-ups) a 2 pack of Fiskars 8" inch scissors (only $5.99) and 4 big spools of thread. Not a big spender today, but happy with what I got. It was just fun to get out.

This is one weekend that I DON'T go shopping -- I stay home and miss the crowds completely. I will finish up my Christmas shopping next week when everyone else is back at work!! Glad some of you got some good deals though.

I did my JoAnn's shopping today on line. The bulb on my 15 year old Ott light burned out. Fortunately, JoAnn's had the bulb on line for 50% off. Since I use that lamp daily, I'm surprised that I was able to go this long without needing a new bulb. I also ordered 100 Wonder clips as they were half price. Like Nammie to 7, I do not like the crowds of Black Friday; but on my way to exercise this morning, I went by Michael's. The store was almost empty. There were more clerks than customers. I bought lots of Sashay knitting yarn to make ruffled scarves for my granddaughter, daughters, and 5 foster granddaughters. My LQS has it's big sale tomorrow; but I'll probably skip it because of the crowd. Also I have more quilting material and supplies than I'll be able to use in 2014.

I'm planning on doing a large rag quilt so I HAD to get the flannel at Joanns. I spent $25 and my tag said I saved $100. That was nice to see. I'm looking forward to getting some quilters cotton. Good thing our store is only 5 minutes away.

I went twice...both times I picked up the flannel that was 75 percent off. I like to make beds for the animal shelter, so I couldn't really pass it up. I have already washed the first batch and it softened up nicely.
Joann's seemed to have enough staff to handle the cutting lines...didn't go too bad at all. Especially compared to Kohl's , the line was literally wrapped all the way to the back of the store for purchasing. Someone told me they were looking at an hour and a half wait.

I shopped online, the accuquilt cutter mats are 40% off with free shipping. I had bought the train and house dies a few weeks ago and forgot to get the mats. Nothing in the ad tempted me out of the house.
