I finally got the top of my Christmas quilt together
I bought this fabric a couple years ago and had to finish other projects first, so I just finished the top. I'm not sure if I will get it done this year or not.
I bought the border print at Walmart, then found the coordinating peppermint print at JoAnn's. I bought the red and green stripe for the binding, then realized that if I cut it on the bias, the stripes would not be slanted anymore, so back I went and found some red and white stripe to use for binding.
When I started buy the fabric, I had a vague idea that I wanted a peppermint quilt, but no particular pattern in mind. This quilt grew by trial and error, and lots of "frog sewing" as usual for me. It ended up Queen size.
Please forgive my lousy camera skills in the first picture. The second picture is a close up of the border print at the top and bottom. The colors look like pastels but they are really bright red and green with white.
