Default Of all the quilts you've made.....

Which quilt are you the most proud of (pics please): here is mine.

It's a remake of a 28 yr old quilt hand embroidered, hand quilted Muppet Babies design made by my SIL for my #2 daughter. It was stored incorrectly and moths ate holes in the blocks, I think because the batting was an old wool blanket. Fortunately all the embroidered blocks were still in excellent condition. I very carefully cut out the blocks and incorporated them into a new quilt.

My SIL traced color book pages to muslin and lovingly stitched each page using running stitches. I used Kaffe Fassett fabric orange and green to bring out the thread colors on the blocks and a chevron fabric for the backing. Each pinwheel is FMQ with a squared 'feathers' design using my DSM.

My daughter loved it and now she uses it all the time instead of storing it away!

Wow, what a labor of love for both of you. It is beautiful and shows how talented you both are. So glad she is using it.

Love that you "saved" the quilt. Turned out really nice!

You asked about quilts we're the most proud of...

This is one I made up.. it's a wall hanging. And my first attempt at handquilting.

My first whole cloth quilt. Hand quilted (took me a year).
First attempt with Prairie Points too.

Beautiful Texas quilt...love the gradation in the colors. I'm also a cross-stitcher so I can appreciate the amazing embroidery work, handquilting and prairie points. Both are extraordinary!!!

That is so great you saved that quilt! It is very cute The quilt I am most proud of is Shine on Your Crazy Diamond which I designed and just finished the top, it took over 5 months!

Waiting to go to the LAQ along with another 4 quilts..... I have been doing smaller projects that take a weekend, needed something easier after this one!

I have a quilt with hand emroidered blocks that I used JoAnn fabric for the borders & the borders faded in some places. I need to take it apart & replace the borders.

Two of my 1st quilts are still my favorites. I don't know if I posted pictures as things have really changed on QB.

That is adorable. The wool and the moths keep me from using wool for any thing and makes me itch. I don't have a photo of the quilt I was most proud of. The quilt was destroyed. I also made a matching diaper stacker to go with it.

I made this memory quilt for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. I am proud of it because I had intended to take a class on the technique the November before their anniversary and the class was cancelled. I didn't start making it until January and finished it for their Feb 5th party. Some of the books have embroidered titles that had meaning for my parents. The top row are both sets of my grandparents (the left is at their 50th anniversary), the next row is my parents, then the next row is their two kids (me and my brother) at their weddings and the bottom row is the three grandchildren at the time. The one has a special photo because he was at West Point at the time. Both my parents have passed now and I have the quilt.

You did a great job salvaging that quilt.
I have made so many quilts and I am proud of just about all of them.
