Default Hobbs batting versus Warm N Natural

I've been disappointed with the thinness of Warm n Natural batting lately. Has anyone tried the Hobbs batting? How does it compare?

Hobbs appears more drapable and thinner.

It would depend on which Hobbs batting you want to compare. They make several battings.

If you're talking about the cotton battings, I still prefer W&N over Hobbs - Hobbs is "see-through", where W&N is still a "sturdier" batting.

I dont know, if this will be of any help. I order my batting from hancocks/paducah.com. I think for 6 pkg, it was roughly $95.00, includeing shipping. Anyhow, its called Quilters Dream poly--request loft. It's not thick, and its not thin. I like it. And me being a hand quilter. I've always been happy with it.

Hobbs 80/20 is what I use most of the time and I like it.Not as thick as warm and natural but a way better price and makes a nice feeling quilt.

I like Hobbs 80/20. W&N seems sturdier but I think the Hobbs has a little more lift to it. BTW out of the package it doesn't seem like it, I always throw mine in the dryer to fluff up and get the wrinkles out. I also like Quilters Dream, but I think the best thing to do is to buy the smallest size you can of several different battings and then do some small things to sample them.

I use both Hobbs 80/20 and W&N. It seems that the quilts I use W&N in are heavier after quilting and krinkle more after washing. I like using both brands.

I've used both a few times, and I honestly can't tell a difference between them once they are quilted and washed. I prefer the W&N only because I don't have to quilt it as densely as I do with Hobbs.
