Default Hubby's Quilt - First Finish for 2014

I'm on a roll......finished one quilt so far this year!

My husband asked me to make him a quilt. Since he's a "picky" kind of guy, I gave him a stack of quilting magazines to look through so he could find just the right pattern for his quilt. Then I took him down to my studio and introduced him to my stash fabric. Since most of my batiks are fabrics he picked out when he accompanied me on my buying trips to quilt shops, I steered him in that direction for his choices. When the top was complete, we packed it up and drove to the local long arm quilter and he picked out the pattern he wanted stitched on his quilt. If he's not happy with any part of it, it's not my fault---LOL !! He was so anxious to start using his quilt that I didn't get a chance to take the photo until after it had been washed so it has that crinkly look that only a washed quilt can have.

So.....here it is

He might be picky but he sure knows how to pic a pattern and fabric. Handsome quilt (it looks like a guys quilt).

Wow, what a great quilt. How did you get him to pick out the fabrics so easily? My husband won't come anywhere near my stash, and I have it all neat and tidy.
