Default Do you know what this insignia represents on my Singer treddle machine?

Hi Quilters! My husband noticed this insignia on my Singer treddle machine, and he thought it looked like a lizard or something. I didn't think it looked like any kind of animal. Do any of you know what this is? Thanks, Suzanna

Looks like a shuttle for a long bobbin.

Found fabulous website (sewalot.com) with whole history of Singer. Looks like vibrating shuttle issued on 100th anniversary.

It's Flash Gordon's rocket ......

Seriously though ......

The pointed thing in the foreground is a shuttle
The "X" behind it is two crossed sewing machine needles
The "S" intertwined with the crossed needles is thread
The rectangle just under the shuttle is a spool for the thread.

Yeop, Singer "boat" shuttle (model 12 variety), spool of thread, 2 needles, and thread in the shape of an "S"

Caution about Sewalot... some of that info is not exactly "vetted"
