Default Grandmother's Flower Gardens

I just posted these after a request on my Tutorial for hand stitching the Grandmother's flower garden blocks. Then I thought that some people who don't look at the tutorial section might like to see these older quilts. These were the first ones that I did. My MIL already had most of the pieces cut out. So, the fabrics and the colors were of her choosing. But, during her era, these were popular colors. Brings back a lot of old memories. MIL was in her late 80's when she taught me how to put the hexies together. She is gone now. But, I hope to carry on and hand the torch over to the next generation of quilters. If you'd like to see how these are sewn by hand, check out my tutorial.http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...k-t247599.html

Both are so lovely! The solids really pop and give the design character!

So sweet of you to remember your MIL by completing these and enjoying an old passion for many quilters. I have one of these in the works, but hurry to finish it yet....It is my sit and relax project. I Love working on it when we go away and I have time to kill.
