Default Sashing or no sashing on my French Rose Quilt for grand baby

here are a couple of pictures - not great pictures but I think you can tell. Would you add sashing between the blocks or not. I thought I would until I tried it - not crazy about it. It will be in the nursery of my new grandbaby due early Sept. We are going for a soft shabby chic look. Also what do you think about borders? I have a soft green and a brighter soft green (same as leaves). All help is appreciated!!!

I like the sashing - it may look a little bulky right now, but that will change when you sew it in. And - just my opinon - I like the darker of the two greens for the border. Great job making the roses!

if you do sashings, cut them skinnier. I like the border that is like the sashings but if you use that fabric for the sashings, i would use one of the greens as an inner border first.

I like it without sashing with the peach as the border. Pretty blocks!

These were my thoughts exactly! I like the sashing but about only half as wide as showing. And I would put the mint green as your most inside border and make it narrow too

That's my thought, too.

I like the sashing too. But you need to consider what size it will end up with the sashing. Maybe a narrow sashing would be better. Nice quilt either way.

I like the sashing but I will make them 1.50 so end up being 1". I will use the light green border again 1.50" and them a 4" to 5" border. Like the 3rd picture where you have the finger.

I agree, narrow sashing would look great.
