Sashing or no sashing on my French Rose Quilt for grand baby
#21
here are a couple of pictures - not great pictures but I think you can tell. Would you add sashing between the blocks or not. I thought I would until I tried it - not crazy about it. It will be in the nursery of my new grandbaby due early Sept. We are going for a soft shabby chic look. Also what do you think about borders?
With sashing.

I definitely like the sashing as stated before it might look bulky now, but not after you sew it. I might suggest a 2 inch sashing , which would give you a 1 1/2 inch after you sew. (Maybe even 1 1/2"). As for the border,I like the green you have on the leaves. Lovely quilt.

I'm with the narrow sashing group. The width you show it is a bit overwhelming but at 1 or 1.5" it would be much less so. I like the green with the dots along with the peach as the borders. Lovely quilt in some of my favorite color combinations!
