I put borders on all of my quilts, just like I put picture frames on all of my pictures. It stops the action and completes them.

I actually prefer my scrap quilts without boarders just like the traditional quilts. I love scrap quilts and always add a solid to them to give a place for the eye to rest.

I often make quilts without borders, but always with binding. So the binding does serve as a border, albeit a small one.
