Best quilt shops in Seattle WA area today?
Greetings quilting friends. I am in Seattle area next couple of days. I need to (lol, yes NEED) to find the top shops to visit! We are here for our 30th wedding anniversary and my darling husband is taking me wherever I want to go. I don't want to spend entire time quilt shopping since it is our anniversary lol! But I would like to visit a few of the very best!

Happy 30th !! Try the Quilting Loft at 2622 N.W. Market in Seattle I have never been there but they are part of the Row by Row Experience, am sure they could point you to other shops within the area you are willing to travel. Happy hunting!

Okay if you're willing to go to Portland, you will hit the jackpot. A lot of Seattleites do road trips to Portland to hit the quilt stores - they actually hire a bus. And since you have to go through Vancouver to get to Portland from Seattle, I'll include the shops there also.
Portland:
Fabric Depot (plan at least 3 hours for this one)
Pine Needle
Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe
A Common Thread
Cool Cottons
Sharon's Attic
Boersma's
In Vancouver:
Craft Warehouse (a small regional crafting chain similar to Joann's but they have GREAT name-brand quilting fabrics)
Fiddlesticks Quilt shop
Country Manor
Momma Made It (Longview, north of Vancouver. This shop specializes in civil war repros.)
eta: Craft Warehouse also has a store in Gresham, just outside of Portland

If you are driving down I5 to get from Seattle to Portland, you might want to take a little break in Olympia. There's Bayside Quilting downtown. They're pretty good with a wide selection, but only worth it if you want to have a look at the rest of downtown because they're a bit pricy from having to pay downtown rent.
Or for our better area shop, at exit 102 there's Ruby Street Quiltworks. They are incredibly nice, and have a great selection of fabrics including some of the Clothworks' American Made solids.
