Default am i imaging things?

I now have 4 omnigrid rulers. The last one I just bought last night at
JA's. Notions were 40% off. The omnigrip rulers were a dollar more than the omnigrid.
My other rulers are all omnigrip. This new one I decided I couldn't feel a difference
between them under the plastic cover. This morning I rubbed both rulers on my mat and it seems as if the omnigrip has less traction. Has anyone else noticed a difference between the two? Why pay more for less grip? Also the grid ruler is a lighter color and easier for me to see through. I think I smell a racket...

I had to read your comment twice before I noticed the difference......d-p..........sounds like a racket to me....have you contacted the company and asked them what the difference is between their two products....response to your inquiry would be interesting.....

I have both but I find that the Omnigrip when new will not slide as much as the Omnigrid ones on fabric. The ONLY problem with the Omnigrip is that the green stuff will wear off.

Hmmm...I actually don't like all the green & yellow on Omnigrid/grip rulers, it makes it hard for me to see. I think I'm going to have to see if I can rub some of it off! It'll make me like those rulers more.

I use silicone dots on my rulers for grip; that works really well for me.

Don't test the grip on your cutting mat, try it on fabric!

The Omnigrip is made so it won't slip around on your fabric. I use them.

I've added Grip Strips to all my rulers. http://www.guidelines4quilting.com/GripStrips.html They almost never slip. It is one of the few notions that actually does what it claims.

I use the sandpaper circles that are made for keeping the rulers from moving when cutting fabric. Love 'em.
