Default My 5th LBB (little brown bird) block is done

Well, this one took a little longer than the others. It had way more pieces. I think I counted 90 total. But it's done now. For those that don't know what LBB is, it stands for Little Brown Bird, a quilt by Margaret Docherty. The book is out of print but is often for sale on eBay. I have 35 more blocks to go plus setting triangles and borders that are filled with applique. So, I'm still near the beginning but I'll keep working on it. And, I'll keep posting as I go along. If you want to see the others I've finished, go to my album (listed at the bottom of my profile). I love this quilt. And thank you for looking.

Amazing, as are the others! Are the veins on the leaves embroidered?

What a beautiful block!! Are you embroidering the veins on the leaves and flowers?

Thanks, all. I've used pigma pens for the veins on leaves and flowers. I have several colors. Brown on the leaves, purple on the purple flowers, dark pink on the pink flowers and burnt sienna on the orange flowers. I've also been careful about placing the template pieces on fabrics to get that streak look on some of the petals. I know these are a lot of work but I'm having so much fun with them.
